Wow! Over 800 miles. in one day, Very impressive. I turn 73 this month And just traded in my Road Glide for the RG3. I just wanted to let you know I paid very close attention to your videos Especially on your RG3. They helped me make a good choice. Thank you very much. And keep up the good work. P.S. I got the black one.

Thanks for bringing us along. Always enjoy meeting folks I would not have met if I wasn't on the bike. One thing, I just can't plan atrip without knowing exactly where I am staying each night.

I try to set up 2 or 3 options along the way... so if I can go further than one hotel I had another option as a back up on down the road-- all depending on how I feel. I hate being locked in to any one of them. I did learn the importance of checking availability throughout the day though. For this instance, I was glad I did not have a reservation because I was not tired when I hit SC and wanted to just keep going. Thanks so much for watching.

I’ve done 15 hours before. I got to my original destination and I said “just two more hours”. And then it would be “just two more hours” and then it was “well I may as well just make it home”. I enjoy stopping at places but at the end of a three week trip, I’m just ready to get home!

I know what you mean about meeting people on your rides. I love that as well when I do my rides. Any time I get a chance to talk about my bike, I relish it. When we did our ride from Vegas to Tennessee just a couple of weeks ago, we met and talked with a few people. Hey, we rode through Gatlinberg, Pigeon Forge, and the Tail of the Dragon. So much fun. Congrats on doing your longest ride so far on your new trike.

Melissa! I hate saying goodbye to a loved one. It's worse when you get older cause it might be the last. That was a long ride. If you are not tired it's a waste of time to stop if you can stand it. Now you know, if you had no choice, that you can go farther than you planned if you have to. Glad to see you made it home safely with no problems ....................... 😎👍👍

@MidLifeStyleTwins Жыл бұрын
I actually love the openness of this RG3 more than the Triglide, but honestly they both ride very well. Not one time during this trip did I regret trading the triglide in for this one. Now... on my trip with my daughter (after my next video, I will be working to edit and produce some awesome videso of our 4100 mile trip together)... she wishes I still had the Triglide. I do not think the passenger seat is very good on this RG3 ... definitely need a new seat.

Hey Melissa.. I have a question. Having never rode a RG bike before I had demo'd rode the RG3 during Biketoberfest (FL) and the first thing I noticed was wind turbulence coming off the fixed fairing that I don't have on the batwing. I couldn't tell if it was over the top or from the vents in the fairing. When you switched bikes did you notice as well?
@MidLifeStyleTwins Жыл бұрын
I did not notice any difference except the independent steering. I am not sure if it was the vents. In fact, I think I read somewhere that the 3 vents help with that buffering.

I've ridden for years and I have this saying, I don't know if original but I'm pretty old so it might be. Quote: I never start off in the rain but I've ended up in it lots of times. By the way, at the end of June, I traded my all black Ultra Classic, for a 2024 all black Road Glide 3. I never thought I would ride a trike but its grown on me since I've bought it.

That is awesome. Whatever keeps you out in the wind. Yep, try not to start in the rain but have finished in it a few times.
