Hi, what thickness of fondant and setting on Cricut is needed? Should the fondant be frozen before cutting? I look forward to hearing from you 🙏🏼

Hi there For less details the fondant needs to be just under 2 mm thick For the finer details the thiner the fondant the better. I use the knife blade for the bigger details and a fine point for the small details. Knife blade I use the craft foam setting - stop it before the 2nd cut Fine point blade I use the washi sheet setting also don't alow another round of cutting. As long as your fondant has cmc/tylose and rolled the right thickness you can leave it for a min or 2 to firm up , I don't suggest putting it in the freezer as it will sweat when it comes out and stick to your blades I use a cricut maker, please let me know if you have any other questions. It's a bit tricky in the beginning but once you get the hang of it works like a charm, i don't cut any 2D toppers by hand any more.

Do you only use your cutter for fondant? If not how do you clean it?

I use a damp paper towel with an edible alcohol paint base (clear), cleans any dust or sugar that may be there, and drys fast !
