As someone whose second favorite Sport is Ice-Hockey in my hometown that is not really an Ice-Hockey Hotbed of Baltimore,MD. It's sad to see what is going on with the Coyotes. Back when NBCSN was around and was showing the late night Games. I always enjoyed seeing the Coyotes.

Sadly, the local news channels here in Az barley covered the hockey games, no matter their success. They will all about baseball, football and basketball. The fans we have here in Az have always hated their lack of dedication to this great sport. So them covering it now means nothing.

Oh so familiar to many whose team leaves for another city. Reminds me when the Brooklyn Dodgers left for Los Angeles. Talk about emotion. I played for their little league team back then. Corporate people should not own teams. Let the city and its populace own them. Corporate people are only interested in one thing, and you know what that is. You and I as fans do not matter.

The American sports ownership model in which a team can just be bought, uprooted, and reskinned is just plain sociopathic. The fact that a certain vocal minority of the fans here can get behind these detached billionaire owners moreso than the local people that actually care and make these sports experiences meaningful is even more sociopathic. I don't think Arizona should have ever been awarded a professional hockey team at the expense of the hockey community in Winnipeg, but damn, it still hurts to see them go
