"SayItBack" (Demon) by X1RON | Geometry Dash 2.11

I uploaded "HEMI" by X1RON about 18 months ago, which surprised me in its cool effects and transitions, as well as overall progression over 2 minutes. His new level, "SayItback", is about 1 minute longer, coming in at 2:48 in length. For an effect-based level, I'd expect this length to be difficult to pull off well; it can be hard to make new and interesting effect-based parts for 3 minutes. However, I'd say X1RON executed it greatly here. While some parts repeat and others are a bit more boring, most of the parts are brand new with some cool effect in the background or foreground. The transitions between parts are still as good too, making it feel cohesive from part to part. There's nothing to complain about in colors either.
I did give this a shot in practice a few days ago, but I have to say that I'm not a big fan of levels this long with some tricky parts, especially near the end, personally. With my limited time, it'd be hard to beat and upload this as soon as it deserves considering the quality. Special thanks to Floppy for coming through and recording it as always. As mentioned, there are some tricky parts near the end, particularly the robot at 1:36 and the cube at 2:25, which should be practiced. The fast speed makes some memorization required quite far into the level. Overall, the gameplay is quite balanced, though, so if you don't mind longer levels, this is definitely worth trying out. I'd say this will be a higher end Medium Demon, and with the quality in mind, it will definitely get an Epic rating.

Catered towards the wider gd community in a way that causes it to look amazing, but in the end, this means a lot more to the person who made it versus the entire gd community, whereas for WHAT, it's the other way around. The community is meant to be impressed by WHAT, but moreso than Spu7nix being proud of it. Also, my game is still fucked because of WHAT

This has to be one of my favorite levels of this year for sure. I've definitely watched the showcase video like 10 times already and it never fails to amaze me. Keeping up a quality like this and this cleanness for a level at this length is really impressive and the sheer amount of sick looking effects and animations is crazy. I absolutely love the creativity in this level and how it's quite diverse with its visuals, yet still cohesive and perfectly fitting to the song. X1ron is a fantastic creator and I wish he gets the attention he deserves for this level. Would be awesome to see this one at this year's GD awards. Absolutely amazing work!

ViPriN, what a level! This music is very strange, for me it would be hard even to imagine some level ideas. But X1RON just made this masterpiece out of empty light blue background. It is like upgraded futuristic "xo" for me. The gameplay and the effects fit with music just perfectly in my opinion. I am not a huge fan of earthquake effect, but on 1:37 it seems great.
