On a legal basis, it’s completely fine to have relatives contesting on all political positions there are in the country. However, in my opinion it is not morally right to domesticate the political party. We could go beyond that…. On the issue of Dean Vs LOP, it is evidently clear that Dean is playing someone else’s card and fulfilling some goals. At this point however, we can’t tell if the allegations against the LOP are baseless or not, this seems to be a bigger issue to me. Whatever the outcome, there is either a direct or indirect implication on NUP as a political party. As a young political party, this will be another learning and relearning scenario. I hope Dean Lubowa Saava is able to produce evidence of that is credible to pin the Lop. The account of the CAA where the money came from and to the receiving account and which banking institution that maintain the account. If really this case goes ahead, l think CAA has got to come out to accept independent examination of their financial records to exactly prove that they paid Hon Ssenyonyi as is alleged.
