Man. Holy fuc**n hell. Today, these lyrics have touched me so much. I listened to this song and watched the series about 3-4 years ago when I was in college. That was before any of its messages applied to me. I get that it's just the opening song for an Anime, and I might be reading too much into it, but it means so much more to me now, I can't help but get sentimental. Now, I'm a very dissatisfied working adult, with enough emotional backlog to incentivize a crime story. I can't say it enough, but this song speaks so much to me now. Hell, maybe there's more normal music that I can listen to. But for now, this is my jam. Just in case anyone in the English-speaking world feels odd about identifying more with Anime songs than you do with pop culture, you're not alone. At the very least, I know a bunch of people who prefer this type of music to anything you could consider vogue.
