It is their first song completely in english, they said they chose that bc they wanted to make a happy song to forget everything is happening right now in the world and they thought it would sound smoother with the melody. MJ's nephew mentioned them on twitter for all the Michael's references and MJ's fans joined army to stream and some armys would stream "Billie Jean" between "Dynamite", which I think was really cool.

I don’t know why but ever since long hair jungkook I’ve been seeing him so much. I always saw him but like he’s become one I just get wrecked by. Tae is my bias and yoongi is my wrecker but kookie is just getting to me these days. Like he wrecks me more than yoongi now but I think that’s because I see him more in the mv anyway. I’m just so jsjcjsncjsjcb. Obviously Tae is just there like ‘no you aren’t allowed to look at kookie only look at me’ and I’m like yes sir I will try. I’m having so much trouble. All of them looked so amazing in this video as well, they were having so much fun and for that reason it may be my favourite mv of theirs.

I love that they released this song now. With everything going on in the world to feel that spark of hope and happiness again with them means so much. This song just makes you happy. Also yes baby JK has left. I feel like he left when he grew out his hair and did that one pied piper performance it was an attack and rude and just amazing. I discovered BTS back in April of 2019...I've been hooked ever since. Attended last years concert in Los Angeles alone...how I wish I had friends like you two! I have to confess, when I saw the trailer I was a bit concerned about the whole "disco" thing but there was zero reason to be, I should know by now to trust BTS and their decisions because I love this song and video sooooo much, just like you both said, it's just so fun !! And ofc I LOVE it whenever Jk wrecks you LOL....you can suffer along with me for a change because he always wrecks me. I also love "boy look grown" LOL. I have thought this for awhile now though, probably since Fake Love and those amazing abs at least but the longer hair is REALLY killer. They all look great in this video, like you said....no shortage of visuals and the main thing is they look like they're having such a good time so that makes me happy. I love retro stuff. So I was so exited when I saw/heard this MV/song! Before Kpop I listened to stuff from about the 50's till now and I've always loved old school clothes (along with hair, makeup and jewelry). Cars were also so cool back then. 😌 I usually dress a bit old school but not that much. Only enough for it not to be currently fashionable 😂😂😂 In 11th grade for Halloween I remember I dressed in 90s attire but no one noticed except for a substitute teacher because I usually always dress like that I guess. The MV and the song were amazing! makes me happy! and the outfits! the only thing i didn't like is Jin's almost no lines and few screen time, the first time i saw the MV i was like, okay but where is Jin? And i need more of that Hoseok forehead and black hair, for me that look is superior, he looks reeeeeally gorgeos! When i saw Tae wearing green suit.. BOOOY! guys in suits are my weakness, no! and my wrecker in suit x.x im glad Tae has this haircut with his exposed forehead, i prefer this one over the curly because i can see his eyes. Everything about this music video is so pretty! I just love this song! One thing that was new is I thought RM looked looked great with his blue hair and tbh he never gets to me but it’s just something about his blue hair! Also stinking blond V kept attacking me so much that now after so long if him being my bias recker he has actually now been declared tied with Jimin for my bias. Because he seriously looks the best he ever has to me in this video😍! And of course because he is my bias I thought Jimin looked hot and that slicked back hair look was everything I loved it! What I have always liked about bts's music the most was their sincerity. When the 7 album wasn't my favourite music wise, the lyrics were so, so amazing and personal. I could feel every member's thoughts in almost every song. The moment I heard that the song's gonna be in english I worried :C the rappers didn't even had their own verses, they just sang the same thing thrice.. it makes me so sad. But I guess it's just this song, not the whole album, so I'm gonna be okay :3 The vocal line killed it, my favourite part is JK's beggining. But even if there's the autotune throughout the song, and I don't really like it, I don't worry because its gonna be amazing when we hear it live!! The song is still a bop, even if is a little repetitive, I don't mind that much.

i think its best for people to take music less seriously sometimes. like of course it is something that can really touch and resonate with us, which they have done many times before, but they made it clear that the song was just to cheer people up during these tough times; they got sent a demo of the song with the english lyrics and simply liked the way it sounded. as a fan of pop, especially old school pop, i think they did a great job embodying the energy and feeling it gives

The song was very clearly advertised towards an international audience and they said that it might stay a single and not be included in any album. The song being in all English is not them losing their sincerity, it's them wanting to directly reach everyone around the world who's going through hard times right now with the pandemic etc. going on and cheer them up. They received that song by a very talented song writer and instead of changing it up, adding their own lyrics, translating parts, etc. Like they normally would, they liked the message and the sound of the English language in the song so much, that they decided to just roll with it. This release was decided upon spontaneously, since they're not touring the world right now and not able to meet their international fans, so they decided to gift us that song instead.
