LOVE the first bride’s willingness to set boundaries and choose what makes her happy, all while being respectful to her mother 🤍

That's it right there. She's an adult, she's buying the dress, she can get what she wants. Mom doesn't have to love it.

@@itsjudystube Right, but mom doesn't have to love the dress. Mom liked it just ok, but that didn't sway how Jolee felt about it.

Yes true, but a lot of brides still want their Mums to love it though too. The bride is wanting to impress her Mum and get her approval.

Mother's need to learn how to be on the same page with their daughters or the bride. It is their day and no one else should give unwanted opinions. Especially if they are not paying. I have a daughter and I would never put any stupidity on my daughter cause it is her day and I really want her happiness most of all.

I really liked the second dress. On both brides.
@MrsBrit1Ай бұрын
That second bride...I feel so bad for her being told her mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer in her sweet 16?! Why would they tell her on that day? Why not wait a few days or a week even. It wouldn't have changed the diagnosis, but it wouldn't have been attached to what should have been a special day for her. It's awful when bad things happen on special days when they're out of your control, but this was likely fully in her parents' control and they chose her 16th birthday?
@CleoS-vx5pdАй бұрын
They didn't choose her birthday, cancer did. I certainly didn't put off switching off my mother's life support machine just because it was my birthday. Birthday's matter to children. Supporting those you love, irrespective of the day, matters to adults.
@jeanettejeanette1199Ай бұрын
Horrible news like that sometimes can't wait. I'm sure her parents would have found it hard to pretend everything was okay. We shouldn't judge others for how they deal with horrible situations like that. Its always easy to say "I'd do it this way if it was me" but its different when it is you.
@apyr669927 күн бұрын
Sometimes it's just news that can't wait. I found out on my 21st birthday that my younger sibling's cancer came back for the third time and that it was terminal. Spent the entire day crying, but I wouldn't have wanted anyone to keep that kind of news from me.

Filipino will be more happy with the bride's dress choice once it's properly fitted to her figure; the bodice was a bit loose in the sample, but will fit more correctly with the ordered and fitted gown.
