I brought zero people with me to pick my wedding dress. I knew I was buying it myself with my own money, and I absolutely hate drama. Went to a little local shop and picked a dress off the rack for less than $300. Two alterations later and a custom veil (could afford it because of how cheap the dress was!), and I had a beautiful dress that looked good on me. Not having to deal with other people's opinions is priceless.

The producers help pick who comes to the appointment. Apparently to be on the show you have to submit information about all of your relatively close contacts and then, while you might get to choose to bring your mother and father or something, the producers decide who will make the best TV.

My only sister brought me along as her maid of honour. I never said anything except...how do you feel in it? Is it comfortable? Can you sit and walk and not be self conscious in it? Then she glommed onto the most gorgeous dress. Next was her going away outfit. She is tall and slim where Im short n wide!! She first picked an emerald pants suit and she just looked divine. Fastest shopping trip we ever had, and she wowed on her day. Im the crier, fierce sentimental. So when the tears hit? She knew she nailed it. Gave out to me to quit blubbering but...she's my only sister and I knew Id never be married so Dad and herself had the most special day together. Then off with her new hubby for their honeymoon and life together. Over 30yrs and they're still going strong!

Not sure about anyone else but I always cringe when they either have a huge entourage of people or bring in people from the fashion industry or pageants and such. There is no way in hell I would have that many people come with me and no way in hell I would allow someone to tell me what I should wear over what I want to wear. I absolutely adore Monte. LOL.
