I see lots of people calling Catfish out for controlling behavior - I don't think that's what was going on. He clearly adores her and though he liked that one dress he saw in her face she wasn't feeling it. I usually get pinged with the controllers because I have been with controlling men, and I didn't get that vibe from him. It's perfectly okay for someone not to like a dress and say it, even if maybe he could have been more tactful in describing why.

The dress fit well on her body after alterations and looked pretty, but the bodice still looked huge. It looked like a shelf and she wasn't filling it out. Vera usually does a much better job. The gown probably was meant for a longer torso/taller bride.

@@zenagitana the alterations on this were terrible!! Not only what you said, but when it was being laced the eyelets were touching, meaning the dress was still huge and couldn't be pulled in anymore, and that's why it didn't fit her

I think the crying is for mixture of reasons. -The stress of planning everything is often times heaviest on the bride. Long term stress makes you emotionally vulnerable. -The brides usually don’t get to see or try on the dress for a VERY long time after their first appointment. And as with many big decisions, a sense of ‘did I do the right thing’ is very natural. Or even regret. Example of that is buying a house. You can’t enter it again for a while after signing the contracts, so regret sets in because.. I guess people just do that. -The alteration being specifically about her weight and her fiancés approval of her look, is a source of sadness/stress for her and that makes even more sense that she cried when she wasn’t happy with the alteration. Many brides hope to feel that ‘feeling’ again when they try the dress back on after waiting for so long. And understandably, if the alteration was wrong and the ‘feeling’ isn’t there, that stress is further made worse. The regret feeling might be worse. And cue the tears. I’m happy she got to laugh after the crying moment, Vera is wonderful and her attitude is perfect for the department she’s in. That’s just my opinion though. I myself would probably need a reality check and I know Vera would offer that. This is just my opinion, anecdotes and personal findings after watching many episodes and experiencing some similar situations. Everyone is different and my opinions don’t have to coincide with what others feel is true for them

Important lesson in this one. Always give a budget range rather than a cap. In retail commissions, we try to get as close to budget as possible while delivering on what the client is looking for. @@annehorrigan570 I didn't get control vibes, not really. Before my current and hopefully final relationship, I had been with a severe control freak. He wouldn't even let me eat much. I went to bed hungry. My man will tell me when I look bad in an outfit, and he even makes extreme jokes. Example, he once said he'd throw me out a window. But I know his tone and behavior. He just makes me laugh with how ridiculous his jokes are. Still, he does say that the sexiest thing is when I'm happy and confident. If I'm wearing a dress he thinks is butt ugly but I'm lighting up the room with a smile, he'd be happier for it. Besides, I'll take the dress off eventually. Lol. Also, we're planning on having a sort of double wedding in one. In the first part we both dress how I want. In the second part, we dress how he wants. First part, ballroom rococo style. Second part Medieval/Old Norse mix. This way, both parties get what they want. I think as long as we keep the guest list short and don't buy what a lot of mainstream couples do, we'll be fine. Example, why do we need a bar? Why do we need bridesmaids? Why do we need favors? It's not like we're expecting wedding gifts. So, yeah. Couples need to do their wedding their way. If that means bringing a rooster into the hen house, so be it.

*First* I did not like the silhouette of *any* of the first bride's dresses. I thought they did not flatter her figure, especially at the bustline. But they were all happy, so that's what counts. *Second* What a contrast to _Nazranaa Diaries_ , where the Indian bride's fiance is often there to weigh in on the bride's outfits. I do not know if the fiance's participation is usual or not, when the bride is picking out her lehenga or sari or whatever. I do understand that the bride and groom want outfits that go together harmoniously, so maybe that's a reason why some Indian fiances are there when the bride is choosing her outfit.

My hair is the prettiest part of my and I will show it off. The end. I fiddle with my hair all the time and the front of the dress will be visible when my hair is at my back or the back of the dress will be visible when I have my hair in front. We live in a dynamic world, not a picture so my guests will have a whole long reception to see the entire outfit which includes my hair.

Honestly I agree with you. Women and men need to stop saying ‘my wedding’ when they need to say ‘our wedding’. My fiancé would be the kind of guy to let me trample all over the planning of our wedding and let me control it all, but I tell him that it’s an event for the both of us and we both have an equal say no matter what. (The sweetest guy ever btw, and he’s happy to have opinions and ideas for the wedding.) We value each others opinions on our outfits however we will let each other choose what is best to wear for ourselves. If he wears something I hate.. well… it’s his wedding too and he deserves to feel his best. As do I. It’s just shitty when brides take over because the groom, with a little encouragement and support, can really help to make the wedding the way he would like it, which will make sure that both people had an awesome time and got what they wanted. However I think this couple didn’t have an issue with the language the guy chose, he may have just been trying to be funny and she knows his humor best. So I’d give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was a sassy sarcastic joke between the two of them.
