Mapa is very especial to Ken because he really treated his grandparents as his mapa since his mom and dad was in abroad. One of their vocal practice video, he cried because his grandma died and one of their interview they had he admitted that he was sad because of his grandma's passing, she died when Ken can finally give or provide them everything.

That's what we don't understand about the bashers. They always brought out about the looks of SB19. They disregard all the efforts and talents of Mahalima. They only base their judgment in visuals. That is Ken's sister and uncle , his parents is OFW and he only meet them once or twice in his life. ( But now Ken is already successful so his parents don't need to work overaseas anymore). Ken is a huge fan of anime so he went to Japan last December to film his solo STRAYDOGS MV. Josh on the other hand never meet his father but e sings the part for father's in MAPA .

Yes po, Ken's mom and dad are both living and working sa Malaysia. Parang once niya pa lang po umuwi tapos ngayong medyo successful na si Ken saka lang ulit nakauwi mama at papa niya. Ate at pinsan niya lang po ang dumalo sa con. Hindi pa po noon nakakauwi parents niya.

Ken's mom and dad was in abroad during that time. It's his sister and uncle who appeared in thag video, po. SB19 are really close to their parents that's why their parents too are friends. When SB19 has a celebration or gathering with their parents, it is always Ken who don't have a parent in every gathering but Tita Gemma (Justin's mom), Tita Mylene (Stell's mom), Tita Aldrene (Josh's mom), and Tita Grace (Pablo's mom) didn't let Ken feel that his parents are not around. They treat Ken as part of their family too. That's one of the trait I love about SB19. They're not just co-members or friends but they are like brothers.
