There was a dancer on Tiktok who said that we were going to cry on Gento. So we were expecting that emotional song. BUT NO. N.O. love it. Gento really has taken over my playlist. It's great to see SB19 has a song like this to hype you up. Pagtatag will be 2 ballads. And they said on their interview with RAPPLER (it has English subtitles on) those songs are the hidden gems. One song in particular Pablo and Josh spoke out it's their favourite. SB19 is not a boygroup, they are a mangroup, one producer has said. It's definitely their message on every song they release that makes you stick with them. Knowing them more you're stuck with them on their journey.

Have you listened to the sampler for the new EP? There are two ballads and one R&B track (which is their next single and MV, coming out the same day as the EP on 9 June). They've done Gento live once so far, on All Out Sundays and it's on KZbin. Gento is short/slang for "ganito" which means "like this", and is also a play on the word "ginto" which means gold. Also, the "pre" at the end with the aliens is actually another slang word, short for "pare" which is sort of like saying "dude" or "bro" in English (but only guys say it for other guys). It's pronounced "preh".

notes: the shower scene, he pointed at his armpit while singing "i could feel the power." power is our slang for body odor! and we also describe it as a sour smell. and "gento" could be a play on words. "ginto" (sounds like gihn-to) is the filipino for gold. and "ganito" is usually spoken as the shortened gan'to (sounds like gahn-to) -- it means the phrase "like this." so gento is a made-up word, but e is in between i and a lololol. also the "pre" in the outro is the shortened spoken form of "pare/kumpare" -- it's an informal word like dude/bro, spoken as "preh". but they like wordplay, so it could actually mean what you said. and as for preferences, i just heard felip cover some modern rnb songs, like giveon; and gosh he's good.
