I think two sang the part about fathers. They never met their fathers. Knowing that hits hard. The song has three meanings from what I gleaned from comments elsewhere. Mama (Ma) Papa (Pa) MAta (eyes) PAa (feet) Mapa - Spanish word for map. Lataratara - has its roots in a Spanish lullaby "La Tierra." When I heard the first word sung - I thought I was hearing something else. I actually thought Pablo was talking about a pickle - atsara. It made no sense. No wonder the pronounciation is Latsaratsara. La Tierra. No wonder.

The guy who sang the Papa part also grew up without his father. and he stood as a father figure of their fam. 😊 Pablo chose him to sing that part because when josh grew up without a father, he also grew up learning lessons in life through hardships making him strong, mature and understanding. They clear it up that Papa/Mama here can be literally not your real father/mother but it can also be any father'mother figure you consider in your life. 💙😊

The Line who sings Part With Father is Josh . IN real life he didn't met his father his entire Life .. yet he is Able to Give what the FEELS that the song demand .. as well for Ken .. He grew up with out his parents as they both need to work Overseas .. as a fan , them singing this part give us Deeper connection to the songs .

Regardless of nation, race or color... this song is relatable...the message is universal, timeless & prettty emotional abt being grateful to our parents...the composer is so creative...by combining Mama& Papa to come up with a title MAPA & incorporate the idea map or mapa (Pilipino) as our guide in life...the creator/s of this masterpiece able to convey its meaning ...the metaphor of mapa to describe our parents...I thot the song is abt something related to travel...but its not...the song is so emotional & has depth that other songs dont have...it seems we are listening to a lyrical poem turned into a song...kudos to Pablo &SB19:for this gift of song...for putting Pilipino talent to global music map... reviewers mostly are touched by song's message...me too....even men shed tears😥😢🎶🎼👍💙💙

this song always hits the spot for me, like you I didn't have a dad who took care of me I was always physically abused like beaten and chained and locked in a room until I was 9 and my mom got my custody.. virtual hugs girl ❤️❤️❤️
