Mana is their way of saying that just like the mythical manananggal, they may soar high but stay grounded. Also, mana may refer to inheritance, as their talent is something they got from their ancestors. Pronounced another way, manananggal may also mean remover, as in they remove all doubts that the naysayers may have when they perform.

This has been my favorite SB19 song so far. It just hits different. For some reason, I'm also getting a different interpretation in the chorus line, "Manananggal manananggal manananggal mana". For me, it can be interpreted as "Removing inheritance or someone trying to steal an inheritance". It tells me that there are people trying hard to discredit them. Nevertheless, they will reach their dreams; soar the sky but will stay grounded.

Loving your reactions for SB19!! :) You're right! MANA is a wordplay of both words MANA (a gift that was passed down) and MANANANGGAL (the scary one :D) that preys on sleeping people/pregnant women. As for the song, they did relate themselves to the Manananggal. The song's message was for their doubters/non-believers/haters saying, 'don't sleep on us because we clearly have a gift' relating to those two Tagalog words, Mana and Manananggal. It can also be interpreted in a way that while the boys soar high to reach their dreams (like how the Manananggal's upper half can fly), they'll always keep their feet on the ground.

Mapa and What? are masterpieces. Please check out their What? music video and Mapa lyric video which just recently got 100 millions views. “iLaw” round festival performance and “Liham” in The Voice Generations Philippines are some of my favorites. Nyebe is a great song as well. hehe. So many great songs from SB19, it’s so hard to choose. A better translation of biyaya is “Blessing”. This is one of their best songs especially when they perform this live with the dance steps
