As a non-Christian (when I was taught we just need to live by our own moral code...which of course I still couldn't live up to) and as a Christian, believing God made ALL men equal (in worth) I never felt superior or inferior to anyone but Christ and treated all people I cross paths with that way. I certainly don't hold people who are NOT followers of a biblical world view to that view but I have to admit it DOES bother me when those who profess a biblical view but then bend/ignore what the Bible actually says it irks me (especially when it comes from the pulpit...which gives weight to the Lords warning about being a 'teacher' and the extra accountability that will come with it). In the end EVERY one of us must choose whether we want to follow Christ MORE than we want to meet and have met/affirmed our own desires (including being a people pleaser in the name of 'love'). I have to carry the weight of being an adulterer because none of the 'bible-believing' pastors who married me TWICE to other believing men ever went through the scriptures relating to marriage and divorce and when I questioned other believers about why the Bible didn't mean what it ACTUALLY said....I was left with an excuse but no peace....until I prayed and locked myself away with the Word, the Holy Spirit and a willingness to surrender to the Word and will of God alone. Thanks to the blood of my Saviour I am forgiven....but won't be repeating the error of my ways. The Word states 'the Word/Gospel IS offensive to the World' and I would say, to all who want to continue in their own 'lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life'. I would posit that the weight given to the 'identity' of a gay man or woman needing to remain celibate (or if as a response to abuse, be healed) is no different to the man or woman who wishes to leave a covenant marriage and remain celibate (and the divorce rate IN the church is no different than the one outside it). Life in this world is NOT easy and its a SPIRITUAL battle not an earthly one...and after listening to testomonies of several muslims.....we in the comfortable west have little idea of what costs some brothers and sisters to follow the Lord. They lay down their lives....not just their sexuality.

Amen to you! I absolutely agree what you said. Many Christians in the churches condemn others without looking at their owns. I also do reach out to Muslims how they’re so convicted of their lies from their leaders, leave their lies, families kicked them out for his/her truth on carrying the cross of Jesus. This is an example why Jesus said in Mark 10:34-38 that family will be divided. I used to have hard time understand ping of this verses many years back before God literally gave me discipline and now a true follow of Christ and spread the good news to others who are totally lost. Muslims are one of them as many,,,,👍👍❤️🙏🏽

❤ 100% agree, coming from an ex-lesbian, in obedience with God. The realisation I had after reading Paul when it mentioned women with women like men were lying with men... that was it.. I only thought the bible only said men with men and I thought I was okay... but no.. I also got a tunnel vision back to the time when I told the most beautiful man I ever met that I chose to be gay and not be with him. I broke his heart and in that tunnel vision, I didnt feel my emotions, I felt his.. and it was painful. When I came out the visioned memory, I cried aloud and said, "Why did you take me back there... I told the truth." I thought me telling the truth about my desires to him was me doing the right thing at the time. But it wasnt. It was only when I read Paul... that i realised what i had done, and why I was shown that moment again. It's taken me about two years of grief of the betrayal I have caused on not only myself, but my Creator. Today, it only dawned on me, that by Gods grace, I have been alleviated of homosexual desires and gender dysphoria and I am in tears again, of the realisation of this .. but thanks for reading my message if you did, and thank you for your message because it resonates with me too x

@@scorpionformulaThank you for sharing. "When we know better, we do better"....and as Voddie Baucham says, thst brokenness we feel when we look at our actions/sin is both a sign that the Holy Spirit truly indwells us AND why the cost was soooo high....JESUS CHRIST.....and He did it willingly (not lightly) because He loves YOU and ME and to pay the JUST punishment for our sins. No wonder Paul says "whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely....THINK on these things...Phil 4v8". Imagine the memories HE must have had, after 'thinking' it 'right' to slaughter Christians in the name of religion. For FREEDOM Christ has set us free, lets stand fast and honour that and not let the enemy drag us back into the morass of guilt and shame. Be blessed sister..

No you're in delusion. They are two completely different lifestyles. One is living in desire of the flesh that is against the nature of God and the other is in alignment with the nature of God, reminding us of sexual immorality through the stories of Sodom and Gomorah.

Can Someone Be Gay And Christian? Leviticus 20:13:- "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." As the text quoted above illustrates perfectly, the Bible makes it very clear that in God's eyes 'sodomy' is a mortal sin; and that those practicing this sin deserve nothing but death. This moral degeneracy is the very reason that God poured down fire from the sky upon the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, wiping them from the face of the Earth; quote:- Genesis 26:24-28:- "Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah-from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities-and also the vegetation in the land. 26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt." 27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the Lord. 28 He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace."

There are more than 6 passages that have bearing on this. I Corinthians 10:13 answers the temptation question, but never gets mentioned in relation to this topic. It says: "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (KJV). I noticed you mentioned Calvary, and you quoted the ESV. Did you know that Calvary isn't in the ESV? It's in the KJV though, in Luke 23:33. And when I hear JIF, I think peanut butter.

Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. With that last immature comment, you are more than likely one of these christians who justify contempt and hatred through the stone of subjective comparison.

How fair and compassionate is subjective comparison? I mean, how easy it would be for one to view heterosexuality as a sin when i myself am not heterosexual? I mean, do you really think that people are just not going to have sex? Thats ludicrous.
