"Who's a Mama? Who's a Mama? Who's a Mama?" Dean fish call. I like it. But then there's my buddy Steve who had a simpler fish call. "HERE FISH!!," so loud that it could be heard two miles away. My ear drums bleed whenever he did it. lol lol Life is blessed with good fishing buddies like Dean and Steve.

Occoquan reservoir is such a great place. I whole heartedly think that we as a community of anglers out there have done so much to keep it such a healthy body of water. Fish care has become very important in these tournaments. Great day boys! Now to make it happen in a summer tournament!!!!
@SBFishing6 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. I'm sure you've seen it every year. From the first tournament we ever fished (april 2009?) The club record was broken with if I recall correctly 26lbs....now 9 years later we're at 33.5. Huge difference there, and awesome to see.

Gotta love prespawn fishing! Looks like I’m a little late to this party, but I’ll add my two cents. My biggest bag for 5 fish was 24.1 lbs with a big bass of 6.7 lbs. I was fishing solo from the bank in the middle of June in public waters. It was one of those days that really should never have happened, but what a day! Most people love prespawn, but summer fishing just clicks with me for some reason.
@SBFishing6 жыл бұрын
Damn!! 24lbs on 5 is sick!! 24 lbs on 5 from the bank is unheard of from public water! Beast mode.
@r.barefoot83866 жыл бұрын
@SBFISHINGTV Thanks! To be honest, I still don’t feel like I know what I’m doing either. I usually hike into the backs of creeks where the boats can't get to. If there is a decent current and shade, there are often a few larger resident bass that hole up to escape the heat and the fishing pressure. I know that fall is the time we typically associate with bass chasing shad to the backs of creeks, but I've come across bass chasing big schools of shad to the backs of creeks in the middle of summer. Doesn't happen every day, but it sure is fun when it does. You'll have to try it sometime.

@thurminatorfishing2066 жыл бұрын
Outstanding guys, its crazy that you guys up north are catching bigger bags than are being caught on pickwick in Alabama right now! That just shows you what to much fishing pressure does to a lake. They have way to many big tournaments down here, these fish get beat to death. People just don’t take care of their fish down here properly. I see big spawning females releases dead way to much here. They keep the fish out of the water way to long, taking pictures and over handling the fish, they just can’t recover from that! You guys have healthier fish out of coolers than some of the guys down here that have 50,000 dollar bass boats..lol keep up the great work!!!

SBFISHINGTV it was nuts. Waves crashing over the bow. Slow rolling big spinnerbaits in timber channel swings. Haven’t been able to duplicate that day since. Had a 5 bass limit of 20+lbs two years ago in April. Munching blades over flooded brush. Come fish Missouri. I’ll hook you up.

SBFISHINGTV I don't know if you guys will even see this comment on a nearly year old video, but I just wanted to explain why I like your videos. I can watch any number of tens of thousands of videos on KZbin where guys go fish a tournament, or just go fish any old day, where they have $40,000 bass boats and bait casters that cost more than my house payment each month anytime I want. You guys though go out in what appears to be just a plain old Jon boat that you added a fish finder to. Heck you don't even have a live well, but instead use a cooler with an aerator! I absolutely love that about you guys! I mean I know that the professional guys with their fancy bass boats know what they are doing, or else they wouldn't win tournaments to pay for all their gear. However, I would much rather take advice, or just enjoy a video, made by guys who fish the same way I do. On a budget! Honestly I feel like anybody can go out with a $40,000 dollar bass boat with $10,000 dollars worth of underwater imaging equipment and catch fish, but the true talent comes from someone who just plain knows where they are fishing.
