Fernanda is so lovely, I'm so proud of her. I'm so used to seeing her in comedic roles, and she's such a familiar face, and yet while watching the movie I completely forgot that it was her that I was watching. She embodied Eunice very well. I hope she knows that she made her justice.

Fernanda had the best performance this season, without a doubt. With all due respect to the other incredible actresses, but the way Torres plays Eunice Paiva makes us realize how powerful a performance can really be. Her delivery is subtle, quiet, not exaggerated. She shows us exactly how mothers react in tragic situations, where they need to gather strength to care for their children, while fighting for justice, without being able to scream. I think "I'm Still Here" is much more than a masterpiece. It is a powerful document of a dark moment in Brazil's recent history.
