Allen's from a pretty affluent family, most forget. His dad David was CEO of a tech company. In the TV series, Brandon may be Irish, but he was educated. His being a chauffeur and mechanic was to hint about the discrimination in English society against the Irish and sadly, a point Fellowes made but many missed. The vindication came only when he rose in rank, to his credit and that of the family that accepted him. 🥃🥃

This may sound crazy but the interviewer’s voice sounds a lot like the the DA character Patrick Gordon. Close your eyes when he’s talking....

Actually I think the character’s name was Peter Gordon claiming to be Patrick Crawley.
