Yes to prevent a child from "Hiding" in one and getting trapped. Next time if he finds one? He could turn the doors against the house, that would help prevent that to some degree. He doesn't own the house, so he isn't responsible but still, you don't want a child getting stuck in one.

What is the problem with people throwing out old items ,where I live you have a big item you call up Waste Management and tell them you have a refrigerator, stove whatever and they will come and pick it up regular garbage day,most of the time the junk man will come and pick it up and haul it away and take it to the junkyard and make some money. No need to leave garbage hanging around your house.

You brought it back to life and that’s always a great thing to see. I couldn’t believe when you uncovered the fridge. It’s also incredible, but she just left it there to rot. It must be nice in this day and age that you could just leave your house behind. Let it rot while you’re in your new life down somewhere else in a new house. Must be nice. Give me your house if you don’t want it and it won’t rot, and I’ll look after it. Some people have more money than they know what to do with and things like that doesn’t matter it’s so crazy. Wish I could get a break like that be given a house for free. All I have to do is look after the grounds and the house. Even if I had to pay some kind of rent, but not rent of today’s amount that would be great.

Here in California you are not allowed to abandon your property and if you simply do not correspond or respond to the status of the property regarding upkeep or transfer of ownership our county state and govt will then seize ownership within i think its only a matter of a year...
