My son is singing this tomorrow at All County Chorus auditions too. He sings more in an alto range, but they don't allow boys to audition in that range, so he is having to sing a tenor position. He is struggling with the lower range. Please wish him well. He is 11 and in 6th Grade and this will be his first musical audition.

I’m singing this in soprano and I absolutely love it! I got it memorized and also the alto part memorized bc I was bored, I was kinda surprised my choir teacher said that if I wanted I could join the tenor if I wanted to bc I can sing lower notes but he wasn’t sure if putting me in bass was a good fit although I can sing down there- and we had one on one lessons- he told me that I was surprisingly really good at high notes exact words “wow Ace, I am amazed at your range from soprano to bass especially for being born a female- not trying to misgender you” the last part was bc I’m nonbinary but I didn’t mind bc I know what he means lol anyways I’m in 8th grade and I think this song is perfect for middle school beginners and helping with growing their range in vocals
