SBS Transit Bus Service 128 Farewell Tribute

29 May 2020. Sadly for the past 12 years, SBS Transit Bus Service 128 had been operating during Weekday AM/PM Peak Hours to serve residents from Ang Mo Kio & Bishan to Newton and City area of Singapore as an alternative from North South Line during peak hours.
Between 2008-2016, it operated 4 buses for both AM & PM peak hours but since 27 June 2016, it reduced to 2 buses due to low ridership. Last day of operations was on 7 April 2020 before Circuit Breaker. After the Circuit Breaker, it will completely withdrawn.
This is the second bus service to be withdrawn in 2020s decade. We will miss this bus service after 12 years as an alternative of North South Line, similar to Service BPS1 alternative of Bukit Panjang LRT. Will be missed Service 128~~~~

SMB111z Studios Possibly due to poor demand. To be honest, 128 is usually following North South Line

Adalyn Yue 163M was withdrawn when introducing 163A back last year while 133M was withdrawn after Circle Line extension via Bayfront/Marina Bay was opened

Alvin Goh Bus 128 basically follows NSL except NS18 Braddell, NS19 Toa Payoh, NS20 Novena and NS27/CE2 Marina Bay

128 is a peak-hour service from Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Newton, Orchard, Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, City Hall, Raffles Place to Shenton Way (Note: It is a hybrid of bus service 162 and old 138). It was the "first" kind of trunk service to be introduced to ease MRT crowd before City Direct and Express.
