@@irfananfilla Not really sure if he is afraid of relationships but from what I know, he has always been passive in relationships where he's not actively "searching for a potential half" until a lady starts to show interest towards him (as seen in past Mom's diary episode). To me, it seems like he is too comfortable with his loner life and he doesn't have an obvious need to get married for himself (but he is driven by a "weaker force" that he 'should' get married at his age).

He's been a pretty passive guy in terms of relationships, and I know that he wound up dumped by the girlfriend he knew he wanted to marry, pretty much because it was dragging out for too long, all because he wanted to wait until he was financially ready. Also, I suppose after getting dumped however many times he's been dumped for the same old reasons, he would start to question whether he's a good fit for anyone? He'd never say this on the record (probably cos of image/reputation issues), but if I'd gone through that sort of experience I'd definitely have my doubts.

I think it's more amazing to be able to love being with yourself, so many people are just in a relationship because they're afraid to be alone. but people need to stop judging, and pretend to know what's best for you. It's ok to be single all your life you're not a failure. Nobody has the right to judge you. One woman I met on hiking admit that she regrets having kids and that if she has a choice again she wouldn't do it, she told me I think because I was a stranger and that she can't really say it at home. Live for yourself and not to please others, they will criticize you no matter what you do (and when you have kids, they will also judge you on how you educate them anyway...) so don't listen anyone, love yourself more, live your own life, we only have one (I'm not against marriage, it's so beautiful when you meet the right one , but anyone isn't fit for it or find the right partner and that's ok)

Doing too much of anything can be a hindrance in a relationship, because you’ll neglect it for your hobby sooner or later. He’s already said how he’s lied to a gf before about being too busy to hang out, so he can go to the gym which is red flag behavior. I don't understand why it will be a problem if Kim Jong Kook wants to exercise for 2 hours every day? Do married people have to spend 24/7 together? Does it mean that if I get married I cannot read, draw or have a hobby? That´s what holds him back from marriage; everyone tells him that he would not be able to do something that makes him happy and feel good. That it will cause problems and arguments, but why? I’ve said this once before but I honestly think that one of the reasons jongkook cannot find a woman to marry is because he considers getting married an obligation and not something that he wants. Imagine starting a relationship with him and knowing fully well that he’s in a rush to get married, wouldn’t that put a lot of pressure on you if you’re not really ready to get married and start a family? I used to workout 2 hours a day 6x a week and it definitely is time consuming. It’s not just 2 hours out of your day cause you end up taking 3-5 hours just because of pre gym routine, commuting, showering, and most likely post workout meal comes after too.

As someone else said, if KJK were to adopt/foster/mentor an older teenager, I can see how he would be an amazing fit for the job. I don't think Korean culture (and East Asian cultures in general) is "open" enough to condone raising some kid that's not yours. It's just not the same as getting married, having your own (preferably male) kid, and passing on your own lineage. I do think that it's possible KJK would be open minded enough to take on this idea, but it probably hasn't crossed his mind as an option since it's just not accepted, and of course, for most people, if they could get married and have biological kids they wouldn't consider the adoption/foster route. As for marriage, I don't know whether he will find a partner who actually understands things the way he sees it: his seemingly ridiculous amount of exercise to maintain the muscles that hold his back together, how tough he can get on himself, the way he spent so long preparing himself financially for marriage (before that one fell through). All the weird things about this guy that make more sense in context. Would there actually be someone who, after understanding him, isn't going to try and change him?

Ra Im’s way of dealing towards the waiting for the gift opening isn’t new. It’s the same way with kids who were not taught to ask kindly for something that they want. It’s also the same way with kids whose parents would allow them to throw tantrums without processing afterwards. So yeah, don’t be surprised or get righteous. It’s just that her parents aren’t bringing her up with the way you were brought up. 🙂Also, JK’s wanting to get married is a running character for him in this show. What a situation... marriage should be something you want to do, not something you have to do. If someone marries cause of pressure of parents or society, that individual is the one that has to live with another person, not the parents. I think he will have regrets if his mother dies before he gets married. In saying that, I think Jong Kook Hyung may over think how he'll work out if he's married with a child. If he still wants to, he'll find a way to balance it. He'd be an amazing father and he deserves to have the daughter he so clearly longs for. he likes the idea of having children but he's almost hitting his 50s, till the time he gets married and decides to have a kid, he will be in his 50s and his wife would be in her 40s. it would be difficult to raise the child after a certain age because my mom has hit her 50s and she most definitely can't take care of young kids anymore after raising 2 daughters who turned adults in till the time she turned 50. i hope he realizes this part that parenting will be definitely hard and most certainly life is unpredictable. nowadays people in their 40s-50s are dying from heart attacks. you wouldn't want your child to feel that her parents are too old to care of her in the future

He just needs a woman that also likes to exercise and stay fit. He shouldn’t get married because people are making him feel pressured. Maybe he enjoys the single life and hasn’t met anyone that he wants to be with long term. I’m sure his mom would like grandkids though. Maybe they should have a couples yoga challenge, or try having him meet women by doing exercise together?

I don't get why they think it's funny for a child to walk up to someone in the middle of a sentence and shout "Stop talking!"in their face. So many people think toddlers and preschoolers being rude is cute, then they're the same people 10 years later wondering why their teenagers have no respect or consideration towards others, including their own parents. It would have taken less than two minutes to calmly correct the child and have them apologize for being rude. Instead the mom just excuses it away, like so many parents that would rather take the easy route now, not knowing what consequences lie ahead.

They don’t want to criticize the kid, and have everyone watching the shows to criticize the kid. Her parents probably would gave her a talk after (hopefully)but it’s a show and nobody want young kids getting slammed for it

I agree Louise. Whether the parents scold the child is a different matter. You don't want yourself to look bad on TV being watched by millions of people around the world. Yes they could have asked for it to be edited out,maybe the producers think it ok to air it.
