Donald Trump signs flurry of executive orders on first day of US presidency

The United States has a new commander-in-chief in the White House. Donald Trump is now officially the 47th US President after an inauguration that was forced indoors for the first time in 40 years, due to the cold conditions in Washington. The 78-year-old called it "liberation day" and used his inaugural address to mark what he proclaimed as a new "golden age".
