I’m sure he missed his family but they kept tricking him into thinking his family would come and laughing causing him to be extra emotional. When I think about that I feel extra angry at how exploitative it is. Jackson’s family is wealthy enough and HK is relatively close to Korea. Why weren’t they allowed to visit him sometimes when the cameras are off?.

For those wondering about the context, basically this was a reality show (Roomate season 2) where celebrities lived together. At this time GOT7 was still a rookie group so they had a lot of schedules and not much free time, so Jackson haven't seen his parents (that lived in Hong Kong) in over two years. So in the Christmas episode they made a special surprise for Jackson and brought his parents to Korea ^^
