Not sure if deer where yall are at act the same but,here in Florida I've learned when the dogs jump and it sounds like they are going in circles its normally a bigger buck,I say in a ladder stand when we dumped the dogs I watched the 8 pt run in circles and each time the circle got smaller until he passed a doe that was bedding down he actually jumped her up took her spot and the dogs followed the doe,I shot him but it was amazing to watch him out smart 15 beagles
