And nothing of value was lost, except for 28 years of taxpayer money to keep a psychopath locked up.
@j-sin3344
@j-sin3344 Ай бұрын
@minuteman2547 is sad but its true. People need to have accountability. If the evidence is cut and dry, they need to be held accountable the day after they are sentenced, NOT wait decades for taxpayers, which cost 70k approx a year for an inmate, to pay while the victims get no justice. IF the time finally comes, everyone is up in arms because they forgot what the crime was and NO justice gets done because they are let go or get a stay. Excellent point MM!!

@@Vale0x3 - I never said the video didn’t address it. Such a bizarre comment from you. It doesn’t take 27 years to figure out how to execute someone who is on Death Row. We see this same time frame for most people on Death Row, so it’s a far larger problem than just this case. That was the point I was making, & it wasn’t that complicated to grasp, except for you.

Sparky used to work like clockwork back in the day, but something that we all forget is the state and federal constitutions and the right to appeal. Once the appellate state courts are exhausted, then it's on to the federal courts of appeal all the way up, should they decide to hear it, the USSC. What with court dockets overburdened with appeals for all kinds of cases, not just death penalty, it takes a long time for the process to be carried out.

Steven Golden, Owens’ one-time pal, claimed he had a secret deal with prosecutors and lied about his then-pal’s guilt to help save himself from the death chamber. “I’m coming forward now because I know Freddie’s execution date is September 20 and I don’t want Freddie to be executed for something he didn’t do,” he wrote in a court filing “This has weighed heavily on my mind and I want to have a clear conscience.”

Look at history and note how people used to be offed. Just finished reading about one of the Viking kings some 1200 years ago that decided to punish his enemy by stuffing an adder down said enemy's throat. It took some doing, but the adder was stuffed down the enemy's throat and of course the inevitable. Then there was being burned alive at the stake, being hanged, drawn, and quartered, the iron maiden [no, not the heavy metal guys], drowning, beheaded, and so on and so forth.

@@cthulholmhastur5317 . 3 things that are key for responsible people in a society. #1 two parents in a household #2. Ethical, and responsible behavior raising the child. Obviously a structural environment , clean safe and comfortable. Education and community #3 enjoying the freedoms bestoded on all Americans in the Constitution.

@@SouthernGothicYT 😳 I wish I did (have a better idea). But I'm pretty sure that multiple studies have shown that the unalive penalty is a weak or non-existent deterrent. 🤷🏽‍♂️

For those complaining about it has taken to long, I agree, however; the fact is very few Black's are even given the death penalty considering the percentage of their ethnic group they commit the most murders. So this is a rare experience.

@@sorimasn I'm not privy 2 any other information other than what was introduced 2 me by way of what I mentioned. You're free 2 add more in depth details, but just based on what you provided alone, I certainly am not unintelligent nor short sighed enough 2 form any conclusion whatsoever about 1 inmate unaliving another, whose alleged history you would also no doubt use w/o hesitation if he had met the same fate @ the hands of the police or a member of a neighborhood watch. I won't judge ANY wrongfully convicted persons 4 any mentality they develop or whatever measures they take while enslaved in an institution where you have 2 practice survival. This man had been subject 2 those extreme conditions for 27 yrs. You don't care about either being. You care about appropriating injustices @ your convenience.
