That last game went very quickly from 'how does Mana ever win this?!' to 'how does Neeb ever win this?!' Like a fight scene in a movie where Need shows all his Martial Arts moves in a very flashy way, Mana just walks up to him and kicks 'm in the nuts

Mana killed like 20ish probes with one void ray. That alone already balanced out the damage I suppose.

Well the last game was Neeb being completely unfocused. He should have realized that what he saw in Mana's base wasnt enough for the current economy. He completely misjudged the existing infustracture. If he was focused he would realize that there has to be smthng proxied and be a bit more prepared.

@@DaCooGa Scouting that proxy was the one thing tbh, he didn't wonder how his opponent had just 2 gates + 1 cyber, yet was mining 2 gases full on since quite early - the missing stargate should have been at least thought of (and then scouting to just see where it's located).

How to beat Cannon rush: Sneak out a worker while protoss isn't looking.

It's very satisfying. Once my probe was on a way to scout enemy toss early and found out cannon rush. I have left my probe on his side on the map and later have hidden it in his main. I wonder how his face looked like, when he realised he have void rays, cannons and batteries all at once in his main. Cannonrushing a cannonrusher is a great satisfaction ^^ (After defending my main, my void production had rally point across the map, when I had 2 voids and he seen my buildings he just gged)

@@dallarian8687 It may be satisfying, however its absofucking lutely one of the stupidest reactions. It makes you base trade someone who has a SHIT TON more cannons and batterries (since you wont be able to defend a 1 base all in when you proxy, and most importantly if the toss isnt garbage, they’ll see the probe (theese pros wont let you sneak a probe in their main without it being caught. If you further have a scout out, well you can be damn sure that they’ll check their base for proxies. (As someone who cannon rushes this is extremely frustrating as it shows you how little minimap awareness you have. (Fyi im way better at macroing than microing usually therefore cannon rush isnt actually good for me but its fun))

@@snowdrop9810 I wouldn't say so. The situation was already after successfully defending cannon rush. Double stargate was in my main as a standard reaction to cannon rush (view "Never lose to cannon rush again - Harstem hour"). I was on my way for void rays battles, my technology was beating his. He had only 1 cannon and it was on his ramp. Batteries and cannons in his main were just an addition, a small surprise that immediately finished the game in my favour. I waited with creation of "the outpost" to check if he's going to scout that. Timing for buildings was set for my 2nd voidray. Even if he scouted, loss of 1 pylon wouldn't make a difference. I wouldn't call that a base trade. My Void Rays printer was doing brrrrrrr and he had 2 sentries + 3 stalkers when I attacked. I would have 4 voids before his more stalkers would arrive on the battlefield. Yes, getting expansion, perhaps going for +1 would be safer, but I could finish the game in 2 minutes, so I did it.

Still, its risky af, as you’ve pointed out the harstem hour never lose to cannon rush guide, printf actually managed to get him eventhough he was prepared and ready with the defense. This is why propably just sticking to defending it is the best idea. İf they dont get a follow up, well its propably gonna be a win anyway (scouting is really nice to have, and propably a single stalker can end most of a contain, and if its a contain you just get a robo and immortal go boom boom and you have a tech advantage thats really big so you prob win.)

@@dallarian8687 also, another thing id like to mention is, if you managed to sneak a probe and a cannon, just hide 1 cannon then get 2-3 cannons able to shoot the nexus. (Cancel 3rd one if none died/were cancelled.) disrupting their mining just makes your voidray count surpass them by a massive margin and you win.

The funniest games to play & watch are the ones where people proxy cannon rush/star gate/gate and when the opponent doesn’t surrender & survives. How crazy the games get, awkward armies getting developed, like Phoenix-Sentry heavy army.

Neeb should have known pretty soon since Mana wasn't being revealed. I think he still loses though given the second void ray so Neeb wouldn't have been able to mine more anyway. He would have needed to get cannons in his main to defend before the void ray came.

Probe could have won that if he didn’t rush right away and kill all his immortals He was already higher up on resources and rogue had to restart all his buildings If he jusr wasted and got upgrades and a bigger army He would have won

He would have a better chance if he made a pylon, some cannons, batteries and pushed with them. But Rogue took that base, because unlike the main and natural it is very open. You can't do the same thing you do as protoss. Probe might have a big army, but he could only produce immortals, which trade terrible against lings. He also was running very low on minerals while rogue had 3 bases to mine from. If he just sits back and macroes, well rogue is on 3 base with more drones so he would outmacro him. At the same time. Rogue can just make a spire, which would be game over. Probe was very much behind at that point. You have to contain the zerg. When he scouted that bottom left base, probe should have taken the warp prism and 2 immortals to kill it.

@theMoonrider I disagree, there is no one in the world that can micro 7 immortals with a warp prism against mass lings and queens in an open field on creep. The only thing that enables protoss to do that in the first place is the safe position of batteries and cannons outside the natural, while the ramps make queen movement difficult.

Game 1 best describes the ridiculousness of cannon rush into immortal battery. The fact that a vastly inferior player like probe almost took a free win against one of the best players in the world speaks volumes about the "balance" of this broken game. It depends I agree tho that he was very impatient immortals are good Exept they can get surrounded easily I would have used the immortals to Harras the outside bases instead of going straight into the natural then use the warp prism for cover cause rogue had 3 bases but he was jusr starting his production after he was cannon spammed if he jusr composed his and took out the bases taht were not around the natural he would have won

Yea, he was smart to sneak the drones out of the main and natural. Because however strong the proxy immortals are, without batteries they are shit. And protoss being on one base and investing everything into the batteries and cannons is basically all in with no second chance. Rogue was so good at seeing the amount of cannons and batteries knowing how much resources was invested and choose to do the mass expand strat instead of going roaches and ravagers. And yea, its impressive how much time he bought with just lings and queens to make his strat work.

Probe would need one defensive cannon to be okay. Having the lings at home is also nice to try and slow down the rate that Probe can build cannons+batteries forwards. It's not an easy decision.

It would be a bit more balanced to remove shields from warp prisms and make them health only units. It’s kind of ridiculous that he can constantly leap frog immortals in and out of a prism and the prism can be healed by the shield batteries making it impossible to kill with the queens. If he could kill the prism he could maybe take the immortal fight with a ling surround but how do you ever kill that prism when it’s being shield healed.
