Hi Emida, since your videos are a few years old, you might not be monitoring comments anymore ... but I wanted you to know how thankful I am for your one-person scaffolding set-up videos. I'd been considering buying scaffolding for a couple years, but doubted I could wield the steel components safely (let alone on stairs!). Even the manufacturer videos only showed two-man set-ups. By grace, I came across your videos this summer; and because of you, I invested in two scaffolding kits - and sure enough, was able to handle all of it myself. I stacked scaffolds in the living room and stairwell both, finally allowing me access to my 19-foot walls. You're an inspiration women everywhere, and your art is beautiful.

Thank you, Cheryl. I’m glad the video was of use to you. I couldn’t find any videos to help me figure out the one-person set up, so I practiced on my own. I figured out two ways to set it up and decided to share this one. It’s my little contribution to how-to videos 😀

I’m so glad we saw this. My husband and I were wondering how the scaffolding would work in our stairway. I said if she can do it, so can we!

Hi Nancy, I hope when I’m 64 years old I will be able to still set up scaffolding to paint my murals. You are welcome 😊

Thank you for making this video. I have to paint my stairwell and was intimidated by having to setup a scaffold but you just showed how doable it is for one person! Awesome.

You are brave. I have the same scaffold, its taken me all day to work up the nerves to tear it down and put it on the stairs. I have to put on the exact same stairway. Your video gave me a little comfort a young lady can do this. I let your video play and went step by step. It worked out great!! THX for posting.

I am a female professional remodeling contractor. I am only 5' tall and have put up this scaffolding alone many times. It definitely pays to be small so you can crawl through the rung openings especially on the stairs. Thanks so much for making this video. I will add it to my knowledgebase!

Nicely done! I'm 5'2" & under 120#s & like you, do everything myself. I could appreciate all the work of balance & especially core muscle contraction to keep the pieces under control... making sure not to hit walls or drop things, & holding parts balanced to get them in position. I'm often perched in precarious positions while considering each subsequent move to make sure I'm still alive when the job is done... you pretty much have to do Yoga to make it all work, especially when you're petite in height AND build! In addition to your beautiful painting, there is artistry to your prep work. Brava!

This video is a riot. It doesn't show the most IMPORTANT part. How did she get on this thing once she assembled it? It took three people to set this up in my hallway going upstairs. No way I could have done this alone. And when assembled, which took about a half hour and plenty of wd40 as the unit we rented was rusted, it left just 10 inches of space between the unit and the wall and what's even WORSE, there was no way to GET on the platform without climbing through the bars! Only a person who is 90 pounds and athletic could ever do this.

I could see where this could benefit a sole diy homeowner now if you're on a time-line just get someone to help you set it up. Nonetheless its a great walk through of the set up especially in a tight spot like a narrow stair case.

Where can I find scaffolding like this with the 'adjustable feet'? Everything seems to have wheels these days, but I need to use scaffolding on my own staircase just like this.
@emidarollerproductions6 жыл бұрын
I rented the scaffolding from my local equipment rental, and they had the adjustable legs. If you can use the wheels, just make sure they are locked in place.

This is great! Impressive. Especially seeing it set up single handed. Thank you for posting it. What is the brand name of the scaffolding? Do you own it or did you rent it? I have to replace a 9' ceiling over a stairway. This would be perfect to get it done safely. Thanks again.
@emidarollerproductions7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I'm glad you can use the tips. I rented it from my local equipment rental store. It is an adjustable scaffolding -INDOOR/OUTDOOR SCAFFOLDING 6' or 12' ROLLING. The maximum working height is 9' or 18'. In this case I used it without the wheels. Let me know how it works out for you.
@SherwinVizcarra6 жыл бұрын
Art Walldesignsbyemida hi- which size scaffold do you have and how large is it unassembled? Did you bring it home or did you have it delivered! I’m looking to rent the 12’ one from Home Depot and wondering if I’ll need to have delivered. Thanks!
@13REK4 ай бұрын
OK, but where did you get those attachments for the Baker scaffolding because I cannot find those anywhere. I can find the attachments that stick out for supports, but I can’t find the parts that hang down so that it actually works on a staircase.
@emidarollerproductions4 ай бұрын
The older scaffoldings I rented at that time had the extensions. I bought a new set of 3-tier scaffolding and the extension legs were not options. They have worked very well. The wheels, locked in place, will do just fine. I hope that helps.
@rdbm44 жыл бұрын
I read the comments and see that you are a professional artist. Cool! I would love to know how you learned to put the scaffold together and if you think a person could do it alone having never seen it done in person... would love your expert opinion!

In hindsight, yes, but this was my first time putting up a scaffolding on steps. 3 levels of scaffolding can be put up in the time it took to do this one. Faster work and better planning comes with experience. Thanks for your comment.
