Scaffolding the Language of Play

A co-oping parent supports a play arc based on young children's ideas and the materials offered, "Corral" and "Train."
She models how to welcome the ideas of others (see the addition of the lizards to the train play arc).
She provides problem-solving suggestions for using the materials and interacting with others.
Most importantly, she models the self-talk language of play for children ages three to four who are still developing that langauge of connection with peers.
