You get used to grabbing the brake and hitting the pro at the same time with the VRide 2 so it basically the same process. There is a work around the parking brake issue but I don't ever bypass mine. Regarding blade changes, I just spin the two outside blade nuts from the top with my impact and I don't hammer them back on win I replace them. It does suck to have to get under the mower to remove and replace the center blade. I've found that if you run the impact long enough to loosen the nuts but not remove them, you can spin them off by hand so they don't roll away and you have to hunt for them. On the install, tighten the nut by hand while pushing up from the bottom until they make contact, then zip them on with the impact! You won't ever have to use another wrench or block the blade doing it this way. I love the new warranty on the hustler, I just don't know anything except what the dealer tells me. We don't see them on commercial trailers in Kansas City. Most of us use wright ZK's, VRide 2's, Ferris or Toro. Also, Scag powered coat quality sucks!

The blade change isn’t that bad now that I’m used to it. It’s definitely a good mower, but I still prefer the Super S. Of course I own 4 Hustlers so I’m biased 😁. I think all the companies make good machines for the most part. Really comes down to dealer support. Thanks for sharing!

I believe the Vride 2 has solid front tires. Which is very nice. I can’t count how many times I’ve come up to a curb or sidewalk and broke the bead on the front of one of my Toro zero turns and ended up with a flat tire 😖 Also don’t understand why the Vride has the blade bolt go all the way through the sounds like that. My Snapper Pro’s used to do that. But that was in the 90’s lol.

Yes those curbs can get you especially when you run them at low pressure for a better ride. The blade bolt isn't too bad once you get used to it, but my Hustlers are much simpler to change.

I love mine. I wish I had the Super SF......the problem is, whatever you get, you need a dealer that will stand behind it......

Thanks for the info. Im considering buying a mower soon as we are just getting into the game. I have Hustler, Scag, Gravely and Toro near me. I’m leaning towards the Hustler though

I love my Hustlers but I am somewhat partial. I believe they all make good machines. Dealer support is what makes the biggest difference.

Yeah those labels don't last long. Super S label must have come from the lowest bidder. It would have been better had they never put it on lol

I’m about to buy a new Hustler. I have a 08 super z and I was wondering if you recommend adding a super s to my fleet or go with another super z?

That depends.....if you like standing (and I do) then it is a great addition. Lighter and more compact. Now, if you need HP (more than 29), you'd have to go with the Super SF to get the big engines. I just bought a 2023 Super Z and I prefer the Super S, but they are both good machines.
