Streamliner GM47 leads, SCT Steel & Extra Services - Rare Trains of South Australia

Trains of South Australia are changing and have come alive in the last few months with many rare and new services running across our beautiful state. Across a trip into the north in November and in the Adelaide Hills across mid-January, we've captured several services starting off with GM47 leading a late One Rail Australia Intermodal at Yorkey Crossing. All the streamliner locomotives in North America were decommissioned decades ago so for me seeing one of them actually working instead of being in a railway museum is rare.

Love this view of Australian railroading. Very similar to the USA. The empty container cars here are referred to as “ bare tables” . Usually heading west back to LA / Long Beach.

Goodday Matt, Great video beautiful scenery all round. What is going on over in SA after all that once in a century rain that washed away the tracks up north. How long before everything is up & running in your opinion ? PN seem to be doing okay the combos seemed full mostly some empty spaces. That local passenger is that on BG or SG rail ? Hi Louis, Looks like it will still be about 10 days until all the track is repaired and trains will get moving again. That local Metro service is on Broad Gauge rail. Thanks, heaps! Matt - M&S Trains

SCT Logistics would have to have the most filthiest,dirtiest carriages i have ever seen.I remember for the first 2 or 3 years they all white now they are a disgusting brown colour and also literally covered with graffiti.The company should be ashemed of themseleves.
