In the mid 80s I lived between New York and Islington. I can't count the amount of films I saw at the Scala (or the amount of those really cool programmes I had on my kitchen wall) I would sometimes book my flights based on what was showing..... BIG thanks to you Jane for the amazing programming.....

This this very cool. I missed the original upload so thanks for re-uploading it here. I lived in London for three years 1988-90 and was a regular at the Scala. All the films that are still near and dear to my heart are films I saw for the first time at Scala all-nighters, the Romero films, the Argento films, the Evil Dead films, etc etc etc. I've got Jane's book and can't wait for the film. Unfortunately I (most likely) won't be able to watch it at as cinema screening as I'm on the continent now, but hopefully there'll be a dvd or bluray.

Fascinating discussion. Jane knows her film history. I could listen to her talk about film all day.
