In this Physics video lecture in Hindi we talked about scalar field and vector field. When we draw a function for a scalar quantity (e.g. temperature ) associated with a point in terms of its coordinates, the function is called a scalar field. And, if a function depicting a vector quantity (e.g. electric field intensity ) at a point in terms of its coordinates, the function is called a vector field.
