A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. Very true. It is very helpful however, instead of waiting for your use-case data to appear for real. When done correctly and the data is checked manually it is an artificial goldmine.

There's two main takeaways I have here as a somewhat technical person: 1. I am skeptical on the "scaling us all the way to AGI" thing. From my understanding, any amount of data scale produces will be a fraction of what is already on the internet. Perhaps their data is very high quality and mostly used for fine tuning, not entirely sure. But it seems likely that compute & research teams will be far more important. 2. If you want to invest in AI. I would probably advise you to look into vector database PaaS providers. It seems likely that AGI will necessitate something similar to a type of complex RAG system & will need new types of search indexes. Honestly just learning how stuff works can give you a pretty good idea on where things might end up in the future. It is probably a multi-month endeavor, though, depending on your starting point for math.
