Try going up a stop or two in exposure. You could also do it in post.

Thanks for the tip mate.I did think that something was a bit off in the pictures,but I had no idea what it was and that I can change it while editing.Will make sure to do so next time.

Definitely agree, the show is massive! I probably took a photo of just a tiny amount of the kits that are on display there, not accounting for the sellers and the displays the larger companies (like airfix or Tamiya) had
