As I am sure Davide agrees, Scaler allows you to create and use your heart and soul to originate music without having to worry about theory, voicings, arpeggios, bass lines or anything else for that matter. It changes the landscape of music creation completely for producers, arrangers and composers alike. Thank you for sharing yet another masterpiece video of Scaler Davide with us!

eh. watch teh two 45 minute introductory music theory videos from rick beato. worth your time, and the knowledge will help you with these amazing tools. i've known music theory for a long time, rick shows everything, but these tools are an amazing add on for someone like me who already knows music theory, but for you, you should learn it. 90 minutes of your time. rick is a great teacher, you won't be confused. period. music theory is cut and dry. if you can speak and write in english, music is a million times more simple.

I found the "passages" feature in the Scaler 2.9 update to be quite impressive. It reminded me of UJAM's virtual piano, where performances gradually progress from soft to intense. Thanks Davide and team, for making a great tool even better. Loving Passages as the provide fantastic building blocks, and they also serve as perfect seed notes to feed back into some of Scaler's perform modes or midi transformation tools. Also really appreciate you guys keeping non-contiguous chord selection (ctrl-click) and Preview Selected Chords active during Live Suggest mode. It is great for trying variations on multiple chords that are off the screen w/out the chords swapping out. Also, was wondering if you are doing any automation of Scaler EQ? I'm loving the control you guys gave us for adding movement dynamic texture. Keep up the great work!

When will you add ostinsto patterns, or a midi visualizer so we can more easily move a note in the chord if we wanted to before dragging it to our daw?
@SchoolofSynthesis9 ай бұрын
There are several Ostinato patterns through out under sequences and also melody in the Performance Section. The rest may be coming soon!
@filledeminuit77103 ай бұрын
Is there no way to create a custom pattern in Scaler for the performance mode? It would be truly fantastic to be able to choose how many times the tonic and the fifth are played, how often the third is played an octave higher, etc., and then apply this custom pattern to our chord. I haven’t bought many plugins in my life, but I got Scaler 2 a month ago, and I've never improved so much in music theory. I’ve finally been able to try everything, experiment-it's so visual. Scaler 2 transforms the only boring part of music theory into an adventure of curiosity and experimentation. Thank you to the whole team; this plugin is fantastic. 😇
@RenevolutionAccount7 ай бұрын
excellent! - Hi Davide, It would be great if you could drag chords and melody phrases from the DAW track (Cubase) into Scaler to edit them further in Scaler. You should then be able to drag them back to the DAW track once you have finished editing them. (for Scaler 3) 😍❤

For switching passages, you can assign certain keys on a midi controller keyboard to play those? thats why they are green correct? if so, would you mind sending a link to a video on how to assign that.
@SchoolofSynthesis9 ай бұрын
Hey Tom what you see is what you get! C1-B1 are the default key switches to switch between Passages 1-7. You can also assign command mappings but that is a little more cumbersome. Please refer to the command mappings or watch here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn2wda1vrd2He8Usi=Sehkaupqojz-2pOE&t=921

@SchoolofSynthesis5 ай бұрын
Hi @es_music There are many ways to get four voiced chords, there's quite a few in the Voice Grouping profile and you can always create your own voicing and apply it all globally. May I suggest checking out some of our other videos or having a look the manual? The community forum over at forum.scalerplugin.com is a great place too and the Official Scaler 2 Course covers everything. There's a lot of depth it's just a case of how to navigate. Hi. A query regarding "Bind incoming midi notes to chord triggers". Would it be possible to bind the chord to keys of the scale? Currently for example if I choose 'E' scale. Then to play the 1st E major chord I have to hit 'C'. Input keys are fixed no matter what the scales are. A bit annoying. Could you please make the binding scale aware? Thanks.

Nothing announced officially but we are expecting something big Q4 24!
@stephenrudolph10645 ай бұрын
after binding the chord progression (not in pattern), i started the recording. The first chord, i selected passage 1 and selected passage 2 for the second chord. It appears that the passage selections are not recorded into my track.. when playing the track, passage 2 is being applied to both chords.. its like the passage data is not part of the data being generated. I see that i can do it correctly via the PATTERN.. whereby in the EDIT mode , i choose passage 1 for the first chord, and passage 2 for the second chord. in this fashion, the passage data is written to my track and played back correctly.. Is there a way to live play my chord progression and choose different passages while i'm recording and have this played back correctly ?? I suppose doing it in edit mode makes it easier.. i don't know
@SchoolofSynthesis4 ай бұрын
If you make the changes in EDIT mode and then record the trigger notes whilst you have you chords BOUND then that should do what you want. Hard to diagnose here on KZbin, may we suggest you head on over to forum.scalerplugin.com where there are thousands of users who might be able to help you and you may be able to post a video or screenshots of what you're doing
