Hi everyone. As the whole world is slowing down and grinding to a halt it is important to keep our minds busy and stay active in as safe an environment as possible.
There are many terrific training videos on line. Many of which I use myself on a regular basis. The problem however is if your horse does not have some basic training foundations in place it becomes very difficult to execute an exercise correctly.
In these videos I will be covering the essential building blocks and structure with which I train my horses.
I invite you to watch this video and try it for yourself with your horse for the following weeks.
Next week I will be moving on with the next stages of training in a similar video. Please feel free to share and comment below. I'd love to hear your feedback.

Thank you. I have a 5 yo, looking almost exactly like this girl. He is an OTTB and I am unfortunately a novice. The video helps a lot.

Love this video! Thank you Fred! My horse is incredibly difficult to get on the bit, but I now know that I need to focus on suppleness and rhythm first. I hope this works! Thank you! Any tips for improving these things during hacking? Thanks, Ellie.

I hope this helps! Once you have got your horse moving around your leg you can use this exact principal while out on a hack. It's much harder in a straight line but very good practice!

@@fsequine1 thanks so much for the quick reply! great, I shall work on it! I have an assessment today, I have to ride 2 horses and then talk about their way of going using the scales of training, so this has really helped. Thanks again.

Your disinfection and blue gloves put me right off, why would you wear blue nitrile gloves for horse riding? I never stopped riding and why would anyone.
