If your here in 2024 let me save you about 45 mins of highlighting and pasting over values. hold down the control key everytime you select the value to replace. instead of coping over and over keep holding cntrl and select ALL VALUES the press cntrl+V to paste them all at once... unless your wanting it randomized that is!!

One recommendation I would put out there is to download VS Code, enable Source control and branch your changes. It will make it so much easier to check for mistakes and track your changes!

This is a great breakdown and I really appreciate the effort you put in! SUPER bummed though that we can't get mods like some modern weapons like a scar or sr25, better optics, etc. I want REAL mods. Not servers that you can manipulate on a basic level.

It looks like some things have changed, for example the "Spawning Pristine Items" part. We don't seem to have that "damage min / max" at the top of our spawnabletypes.xml file anymore. I have tried writing it in myself but it doesn't seem to do much. Could you maybe show that part for 2022 again? Your videos are absolutely brilliant and I have learnt a ton.

They all still work and you don't need the tools he has it helps alot tho .... if you don't use the tools then you can always do it with in the files themselves but be careful not to leave anything missing before saving n always keep a copy of the default settings before changing anything

This video was VERY helpful to know how to do these things. But Specific question.. How do you go about fixing of finding the code for disabling Random Characters when you spawn in. Like if you save a custom character choice and log in and it still gives a random character, the same also on Death.. how do you change it so it ONLY spawns you with what character the player chooses.

I am having trouble making everything spawn as pristine and guns/ammo/loot as fully equipped. I seem to be getting different text when I open the same folder as you or some of the text is missing!! I tried entering the text as it appeared on your screen, but it made no difference! I finally sorted out the stamina after I had to restore a backup to fix my mistakes!! I have just reloaded the vanilla files again, but what I noticed is that all the updating I was doing on Notepad++ was not transferred properly when I "reuploaded and some of the things looked nothing like what I had changed!!
