Updated for 2024, in this new-starters beginners guide tutorial to Modding DayZ Nitrado PlayStation & Xbox Console Custom Community Servers, I show you how to edit the cfgspawnabletypes.xml mission file so that the vehicles on your community server spawn in with all their parts - doors, radiators, wheels, spark-plugs, batteries, headlights, etc.

Hi Scale, I'm trying to add Humvees to my sakhal server but cant seem to get them to spawn with all parts or with a full boot do you have any advice of what might be causing this

Hi Scalespeeder. I watch your videos all the time. You have taught me a ton. I have been trying to spawn in three humvees side by side on Sakhal. It seems that no matter what I do, only one at a time spawns in. I actually played on a server that had this. I am on console by the way. The one that spawns in is complete with loot in the trunk. I have dayz editor as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We have new map did the boosted files moat are working fine except the adas car are not? Any ideas they are all wrecked.

Is there a way to make more storage than the original 300 that comes with the cars. It's stupid that olga has 400 and the humvee has only 300.

Yes but I haven't figured it out yet, I was playing a PS4 Community server and the owner found a way to go past regular capacities, mags included.

I'd like to know how to add logs planks and sheet metal to the slots in the truck. I've been trying different code structures in the spawnabletypes but it's not seeming to do what I want, I end up with all vehicle spawning with nothing.

Hey Speeder, Great vid! Unrelated question im looking for the "Syntax"? for the dynamic-military-convoys to have Expansion ai to spawn on the convoys. I know the "gas zones" is "ContaminatedArea_Dynamic" but not sure about the convoys.Thanks!

Is it possible to make vehicle attachments and cargo all spawn pristine? I know about the damage modifiers throughout cfgspawnable types, but I don't want to make every instance of those items spawn pristine throughout the map, just in the vehicles. I've tried pasting the damage modifiers after each attachment in the vehicles, but they still spawn damaged. Is this possible?

Unfortunately not. Damage is set in globals.xml or cfgspawnabletypes.xml, so whatever you choose, that's the damage for all of that particular item.

Followed this and all my vehicles are spawning with nothing attached. EDIT: Removed the Storage_1 folder from the mission folder and that solved it. Followed a different Scalespeeder tutorial for that.

What do I have to edit to make the cars respawn after 5 minutes no interaction. I've been able to get black civilian sedans to spawn complete at the coast but I would like for them to disappear after roughly 5 minutes of no interaction to force people to get inland cars instead of the spawn event ones. Thought I'd ask here.

I'm not sure if your question has been answered, but all you have to do is Google notepad++, the website will pop up for it, and you just download it from there 😊
