How to scale your car with load and set the RR and LR spring loads.

What if the right rear is compressed to much? Not sure how to get weight off RR without adding bite. Trying to stay at 40 lbs of bite. 225lbs spring and it is compressing to 10". All of the lead is off of the car. Also I put my preload spring on and it holds the left rear way to high. 100lbs spring with 2.25 inches of preload. Any suggestions?

Can you explain to me why a 20” spring of same rate will make more traction than an 18” spring if ride heights are the same?
@jaynealgofast2 жыл бұрын
This is hard to explain and may need a video to get it done. If the 20" spring is made with smaller wire it will have more compression on it which means it would have more spring compression in it allowing the tire to hold more grip. When you ask drivers it seems that the taller spring has more energy in it or drive.

What is preload? I have a bsb xd slider on the lr 100ib spring and 175 rr my ride height is set. How do I set preload? I'm assuming it's a adjustment on the slider?

Load is set when the car is at full hike, it is a setup adjustment

how do you setup that lr 175 for scaling? do you put it at a certain load or set with the old school bite?
@jaynealgofastАй бұрын
Old school bite.

Just to be clear. Adding load to the RR spring in the form of 2in 2out 1in 1out is for only when the car has the stiff scaling LR spring in. Not an at track adjustment when the preloaded LR spring is in, correct? Or could you just do 2in 1in 1out while leaving the LR alone?

If your mind set was good, you could do all 4 corners in the understanding of where the LR would be going. It is also a good way to get lost where you are at. Adding load at the track is best done with lead instead of turns.

I’m a little confused. So do you want your rate for your spring and slider to be the same as the amount of droop load you have in your lr coil over? If that’s the case would your ride heights still be the same when you put the coil over back in?
@jaynealgofast Жыл бұрын
I am also confused about what you are asking, Sorry. You said spring and slider (RR)? to be the same as your LR? RR load 375 / LR load 225 this all depends on the car and spring rates

jay, on a 3 link, do you scale with a 175 0r 200 , then put in the preloaded spring ?

When you set your load on the R/ R, how would you do that without changing the bite number or ride height ? Excellent video by the way!
@jaynealgofast3 жыл бұрын
When u turn all 4 corners your ride height will stay the same or close.
@dankinjerski24633 жыл бұрын
@@jaynealgofast ok. I was watching your right rear load video. So you first set ride height. Then obtain your bite number by adjusting all four screw jacks like the old days. Then once you have that correct, measure your right rear spring cups and then set the load to 375 at that height? Thanks for your time. My research is showing that becoming a team member would be beneficial.

How would you set ride heights on LR without adjusting the slider? You're saying to scale the car with no preload, I understand that. But if my ride height is really low on the LR per say, how would I raise it?
@jaysteffens45872 жыл бұрын
Change your shock mount height. Move the mount up on birdcage or put a drop mount on frame.
@jaynealgofast2 жыл бұрын
If I understand correct in what your are asking: set your ride height when you have your scaling using your scaling pring (175 or 200) when i said no preload what I meant was don't use your 125 with load.

@@jaynealgofastis there a way to do this on a factory stock 3200 min With driver basically the way your doing the scaling. Scaling with one spring and then pulling it and running another? A lot of guys are running 16 175s and 150s and of course there preloaded 5-6” in most these cars. Do you have a recommendation.

@@jaynealgofastforgot to mention. No jack bolts. Stock spring and shock location. Can space shocks up or down. Can add shims to spring and any length spring
