Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) Laser Removal

The Scalp Micropigmentation (#SMP) industry has experienced a significant boom in recent years, resulting in an influx of emerging artists into the market. While most have undergone formal training, some have either not pursued such training or opted for inadequate online training courses.
Due to this, we are seeing some very poor results from inexperienced artists. These results can include blow outs, mega dots, pigment migration & ink looking blue (due to a shade being chosen which is too dark for the client’s complexion).
Our company receives weekly requests for help from individuals across Australia who have undergone poor SMP treatments elsewhere. When SMP procedures are executed poorly or performed by inadequately trained practitioners, remediation typically necessitates laser tattoo removal. Fortunately, in the majority of cases, laser removal proves effective within a minimal number of sessions, often requiring only one or two. In situations where the SMP has been embedded deeply within the dermis, a more protracted treatment regimen may be required for successful removal.
Please note that our facilities do not provide laser removal services in house. However, we have a network of laser removal technicians, well-versed in SMP removal, located throughout all states of Australia that we can refer you to. It is imperative to acknowledge that laser removal can entail a degree of discomfort. Therefore, it is prudent to conduct thorough research when selecting an SMP artist. We recommend requesting the opportunity to personally meet with some of their previous clients to assess the quality of their work. Additionally, inquiring about the duration of their SMP business can provide valuable insights into their expertise.
Client will need to wait approximately 4-6 weeks after laser removal before new SMP can be applied to the scalp.

Interesting how a few years ago I was seeing tons of micropigmentation videos, and now it seems like there are tons of micropigmentation laser removal videos. Kind of wish these videos would also show the patients after the laser treatments have had time to heal.
