Why do you place muliple bets at different prices? What does 'go through you' mean? How far above or below the current tick size are we supposed to place orders? Do you place orders at both sides simultaneously? At around 5:30 there's lots of clicking all over the place but no explanation as to what you were doing exactly to control it, could you elaborate? Were you referring to the overview and to volume traded on other horses to affect your decision-making? I know it's hard to talk when trading but a little more explanation regarding technique would've been great!

Great video Caan, That could have gone horribly wrong for £20-£30 if you had lost your Kool or not reacted quick enough .... This video didn't make sense when i first watched in a week ago like others have said a lot of clicking looks confusing but having spent a few days trading I can now see whats happening and understand what your doing, To others out there I suggest coming back to watch this video again a few times once you've tried your hand on the geeks it will all start to make sense ...... You can learn a lot from this man :-)

Can't get my head around this, I'm just seeing *clickclickclickclick* with no guidance as to what's happening. When I try this betting the same stake I lose my ass in a couple of clicks or end up with 2p profit. A little help please? What's going on?

Did brilliantly today 13 arbs profitable then 1 wiped everything out but I’m down £1.50 lol. That’s EV though isn’t it. Am I right with that? Technically I ‘should’ be up over the month. (I know we can’t say deffo).

Hi Caan. First of all thanks for sharing wisdom with us all. my question is... Are you using the £100 stakes that you've placed a few ticks away from the price as a kind of "blocker" to stop the price from going through you too far and also did you have an idea of which way you thought the price was possibly going to move before entering the market as i see you started with more on the back side than the lay side? This is starting to make a little more sense now, I'm maybe only a few days into this trading stuff (a week maybe 2), but as another commenter said, coming back to this and re-watching it make more sense a s second time around and especially after playing with geeks toy for a bit (at least in training mode). My question here is however, when placing your lay bets a liability is taken from your account, but since your overall position (due to back bets) would add up to not that much, is the liability automatically adjusted based on this so you can still make lay bets after placing your back bets. It is a tough question to put into words but if I have a plan to back and then lay but then didn't factor in the liability I would be unable to make the lay bet. I guess in this instance it only really applies to small banks. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks again, I'm also following your beginners school on your website as you suggested, so far this is where I am at.

What I don't understand about lay bet is that if I do a double chance bet on a team + a draw, isn't the same thing as laying the other team not to win???? I really don't understand the difference between an exchange and a normal bet because of this...

'double chance' on a win bet or a draw is indeed the same as laying the other team. But you're likely to get worse odds using a bookmaker than you'll get on an exchange.
