Love seeing Veteran scalpers. I love to intraday but I love scalping so much more. I’ve been profitable at both but came to a hard stop when trying to switch back and forth. I’m now paper trading to train myself on when to scalp and when to hold with a bias towards scalping the first one-one half hour of Ny open. Thank you Tom can’t wait til you’re back in Sept.

My 5 cents - trade live but as small as you can. Paper trading in the best case doesn't do anything good in the worst case you trade way too large and can't concentrate.

4:31 - That trade just pulled back into the fair value gap. That 3 candle pattern where you had a big rip candle up where neither the previous or subsequent ones had price go back and revisit that area the ripstick powered through. The algos seek areas of liquidity or to fill imbalances. What it did was fill that imbalance and then went higher. A good trade there if your higher timeframe perspective is bullish would be to take an entry at the FVG & risk the low of the range or candle that produced it targeting old highs.

It depends you can use buy price/sell price or middle price. I think most use middle price... So let you want to buy Dow at 30.000 in US trading hours with 1 point spread. You will pay 30000,5 for the entry you run it to let's say 30010,5 and exit. Your exit price will be 30010. I hope it helps.

Hi Mr hougaard well you have mastered trading your style, grate trading , but for a ordinary trader it would be hard to follow very fast . for me your first trade on the tech you sell 11913.9 was for a down but for me I would buy the dip on that open bar way because 8 out of 10 it will brake the high of that first bar my stops would below that first bar. you are an exraordinary brilliant trader but for me you are hard to follow your style. its grate to see you doing so will keep it up Robert Howlett p/s I am not half the trader you are brilliant go for the top

Great video Tom...question...their spread is tighter than the actual market. Are your trades actually being placed in the market or is the broker just keeping them on their book and taking the other side of your trade?

We use spread betting (trading) - it is not a "real" product ... but hey - who cares you can get in and out for a low spread. We should be naive if we think that our 1,2 or 5 lot or even Tom's size will move the market one bit.

Not entirely true. You CAN actually blow your trading account by taking profits too early. Of course it is always a balancing act - and this is one of the most difficult aspects in trading. But if one does not from time to time have a "runner" then it will be difficult to become a profitable trader
