Scalping vs Day Trading

As a scalper i tell people you need to have robust psych and experience because you need to trade inuitively, theres no time for thniking plus you dont have the luxury of a stoploss to help you due to the speed of trades. Im profitable now but in the early days i blew up a few accounts. Start with swing trading or if you wana scalp from the start use small amounts and get 100 trades under your belt so you can analyse and critique. Scalping is a sure fire way to make you give up trading if you do it incorrectly and will take you to some dark places in your mind. High risk high reward but youv been warned.

Hoping you'll somehow respond to this 2 years later but I was wondering why you cant use stop losses? I mean I am a complete beginner to trading with only 1 actual good trade under my belt from a scalp today so I'd love some extra advice if you have some!

@@kkronical bro as i scalper ALWAYS USE STOPLOSS REMEMBER Just place it and track below 9 EMA or 5 ema or just on recent low/high

@@SoheilPKO let's just say anyone can start any kind of trading either scalping or day trading etc but 1st they have to undergo months if not years of paper trading plus a good sense of trading psychology so 50% T.A and 50% trading psychology and also have this nailed in their brains that "one cannot win all the time not even professionals"

What`s a difference between wash trading and scalping? In some ways they seem very similar.

No they are not similar. Wash trading is market manipulation. In wash trading, an investor buys and sells a financial asset simultaneously to create fake activity in the market.

@@SoheilPKO Yes but this is what confuses me while reading reputable sources "Wash trading defines a sale in which a trader is selling an asset, then repurchasing it at or about the same time as the sale" They say about the same time which can mean no simultaneously. Scalping is based on quick buying and selling (some trades are very quick and last seconds) so I could say they buy and sell about the same time.

@@marynarkw Wash trading is with the purpose of market manipulation and it's illegal. It's usually done with large amount of money to move the market. Whatever the name, that's the action that defines what the trader is doing.

If you're a beginner, I don't recommend you to start day trading for now, because trading in short time frames has more risk. Experience and practice is the key to success in day trading. Don't hurry for going into day trading with real money. Start with real money only when you're consistently profitable in paper trading.
