I waste their time, I get them to stop calling me, and maybe they start to get the damn hint that THIS isnt ok to do and isnt working for them. All of this from all you great people has helped tremendously and I applaud every one of you for doing this. Its teaching unkowing people as well as discouraging them. AMAZING work, and honestly sounds like fun. I'm going to be answering those call more often XD

India will not do anything to the scammers because it is a major industry in some localities there and many of their agencies are paid to look the other way.

Some of the scam centers are fed information from CC call centers that have been outsourced. Some are even located in the same building and use the legit infrastructure. IF the scammers are exposed in the media they will be "arrested" and nothing will happen to them. Scambaiting is the best way to fight back.

Although this was obviously a scammer, if you ever have a potential real conversation with a government agent or cop and you might be suspected of something (or even if you're not, for that matter), NEVER talk to them unless you have a lawyer. Answer all questions with, "I invoke my 5th amendment right to remain silent unless an attorney is present." If any one ever says, "If you ask for a lawyer it will make it look like you did something wrong" is total BS. That's not how it works.

They asked if I could see the windows key. Hummmm. Nope. Lol. To make a long story short, they kept passing me to 4 different scammers. I got them so confused. 😂

A lesson to all people, always consult a lawyer.If they are from the government they will read your rights ,and suggest a lawyer or provide one for you. Ask to have your Miranda Rights.

It almost seems real. They did this to me a few years ago. I couldn’t help but think I was going to be arrested. A little thing inside me said there was something wrong with this. When they said they were going to give me a new card. See SSA doesn’t give new numbers unless they were under different circumstances. That saved me. A suggestion to add a bit of fun on the next SSA scam: if they ask if you have ever been to the state of Texas (before they tell you about the drugs and blood) say that you went there on vacation and your rental car broke down on the way to the airport for the flight home. So you dumped the car in El Paso and got a cab to the airport.
