According to some of the info floating around regarding ES2 chips: 1) GPU's in the PCIE 5.0 slot won't be recognized (ie. first slot), as current gen GPU's aren't PCIE 5.0. Use alternate slots. (seems like you already tried this?) 2) Something about the memory lock frequency of DDR5 motherboards doesn't currently work with these chips. Not sure exactly what this is referring to, but apparently some MSI DDR5 boards can automatically reduce the frequency of DDR5 memory to start sometimes?

Dang.,. I wanted to see how it did. The idea of performance cores and efficient cores makes real sense when you consider the amount of applications that can be running in the background. If the CPU was able to dump all of those background apps to another efficient core and allow all the high performance cores to be used for gaming, it could really make a difference on PCs with lots of crapware.

just a bunch of tech bable to avoid admitting a huge problem with computers now. Syncrousity. You can only perform one task at a time. because of how circuits and timing between going from processing some part of a what needs to attention on the MOBO (lighting cooling blah blah blah) . An Asynchronous set of clocks (able to check core temps at the same time as...anything else. all that unchangeable (immutable stuff) is like a disease now. use all the fancy verbage, spindoctoring "magical feets of engineering" but until such time as all apps are forced to be multithreaded (ie actually use all the gd core on that silicon).untill fucking proper code cooling and gd stack management is a thing again. we won't make a fucking significant dent in the utter. utter shit level of jank computers have. We have MILLES of metal smashed into a small space, and these cockfucking inept trogladites at intel and AMD are going yeah well my clock has 200 hz able with a petillion core intell yeah well we have a bunch of marketing gibberish and fucking cunts. does anyone really thing this " new and better" intel shit with a few more FPS in cinapenile compensator will make your apps actually useable? not a chance in hell.

@@gorkskoal9315 Did you mean Synchronicity? That's a great album. And note I said crapware. Not sure how you got your comment from my comment. That being said, the PS4 had a secondary cpu and memory for background tasks- like downloading/updating games. So it's not like this is totally new ground.

LGA 775, 1156, 1155, 1150, 1151, 2011 now 1700? I've honestly lost track of Intels LGA layouts. At least with AMD it's relatively straightforward in that, AM2 is before AM3 and AM4 FM2 is old. The one to succeed AM4 is AM5 etc. Though I'm staying with AM4 for the foreseeable future, since I only moved to AMD since they said it was more "futureproof" so I'll ride it until the 5950X becomes obsolete.
