The feeling of being scammed is horrible. At least it was only about £3. I dread to think how I’d have felt if it had been a large amount.

It was a new scam for me. I have been to Egypt a few times before, but the money has changed since I last went. They’ve since made the two notes look very similar which makes the switch very easy to the unwary.

I think it happened to me at another point during the holiday BUT I wasn’t 100% sure. Those two notes are just too similar for my liking 😊

No. To be fair lots of the sellers/hawkers in Egypt can appear aggressive. It’s all part of the way they operate.
