I just saw a video of a store clerk calling the cops because an elderly lady depositing a couple of hundred thousands of dollars in the store's crypto machine. The officer took the phone from her and was talking to the scammer. Keep up the great work!

Stop answering unknown numbers. If you answer, your number gets flagged as active and they sell it to everyone. I don't answer unknown numbers and I get maybe 1 scam/spam call every other month or so.

A place I used to work, I sometimes had to talk to our subcontractors in the Phillipines, or listen to their calls. Calls that were in the early afternoon or evening US eastern time, I would hear roosters a lot.

What I think is the weirdest/dumbest thing about these scams is that they can "Refund the money to your bank account..." BUT they require you to get gift cards, bit coins etc to send the "mistake" back. In these anti-scammer infomercials or PSA's nobody points that out.

I almost fell for it once because I was expecting a package but after getting these messages repeatedly I knew it was a scam.
