Yesterday, I got back home and saw my mother talking to someone on phone, I right away knew it was scammer because I've been watching your videos and was able to prevent them from scamming my mother, thanks a lot to you

I got scammed of every dollar I had (they left me $4 - enough for public transit one way to the bank to report it) (only for the bank to no be able to recover 1 cent of it) back in 2019. I was 26/27 at the time. I consider myself fairly tech savvy, and I’m the one who warns and teaches my parents and grandparents about scams and it happened to me. It’s seriously traumatic and I’m still dealing with the snowball effect that happened to me because of it. I can’t imagine how the elderly who lose hundreds of thousand navigate it after being scammed and it breaks my heart so much.

It’s SO not just elderly and young. It’s tons of middle age people. People who are old are not necessarily feeble and dim witted, even though there’s so much ageism you’d think they are.

I work at a Swedish call centre for a telecom corporation as customer support. I get to talk to scam victims from time to time. Most victims I talk to are elderly, ages 65-85 mostly. There is quite little we can do to help our customers with scammers, since most victims contact us after the fact. Some have had the remainder of their lives quite literally ruined by these "people." I cannot express how happy you guys at SP make me with your videos. I watch other scam baiters too, and the length to which you guys are going to help these people brings me to tears. Thank you! 😇

My mom and step dad were scammed by someone claiming to buy time-shares off of people who didn't want them anymore. My step dad eventually ended his own life in the fallout. It's not the same type of scams that you stop, but it makes me happy seeing channels like this that help prevent scams and antagonize the people who often destroy lives. Thanks for these vids

Pierogi, I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and started watching them. Tonight, I came to visit my 78 year old mother and she asked me why her McAfee bill would double in one month. AHA! I've wondered about that also. I live a small city, but adjacent to a larger city. My city has a Senior Center that have services available for seniors. I could use a basic video and present it to various groups.

They also post other kinds of uploads that aren't scambaiting, depending on what fits their fancy, so just be aware of that if you subscribe

I got a scammer call today, he never got a chance to start the scam because I told him that he is a scammer. He kept repeating that he was at a service center, anyway I kept him on the phone, by making small talk after he asked how I was, for maybe 10 minutes before he hung up. Sometimes I just play stupid and confused and (unintentionally) uncooperative. Keep on helping to protect us seniors, thanks.

I get scam calls once a week usually. I used to waste their time and act like an old man with dementia and the world's slowest computer, but these days I just simply let them state their script while breathing heavy and fast, and then once they ask me the first "yes / no" question, I begin moaning "Ohhhh yeahhhhhhh, yes daddy" and variants of it over and over getting more and more aggressive and fast paced until they hang up. Lol

Your videos matter. A lot. I'm staying with friends who would be perfect targets except for the fact that I've educated them about scam call centers. If not for you and the others in the scambaiter community, even I wouldn't have known. My friends get at least 7-10 calls a day from scammers. I work with turbo tax and I just got done with someone who was hacked by someone pretending to Microsoft and Bank of America and he ended up purchasing bitcoin and they took 40,000 from him. So while I was helping him with his taxes I mentioned your channel and he searched you up and started watching so he doesn’t get fooled again
