Same this happened with my uncle. Somebody called my uncle and claimed himself as me and asked for 50k. My uncle was so naive. he transfers the amount.

My brother in law also lost 5 laks. He had an account in Standard Chatered and got a call from a lady who pretended to be from the bank. After losing money, my brother in law contacted the bank but nothing happened.

I approached FIA 2 yrs back regarding fraud but neither bank nor cellular company is punished. The fraudster uses exact bank number using some technology . Please educate people not to trust phone call even if it look like bank number
